Imagination Children’s Learning Centre
Who We Are
Children’s Learning Centre. The founders were inspired by inner passion and are continuously motivated by parents and caregivers who recognize such needs, and the new government direction to strengthen efforts in all inclusive education. Imagination Children’s Learning Centre gives Hope to children through awareness, empowerment and research to address the development concerns of children especially those with special needs. The organization continuously conducts research on a number of children’s disabilities, their causes and available solutions, and in different fora raise awareness for parents, local leaders, policy owners and influencers to commit resources in addressing such.
The organization targets the most vulnerable children below the age of 18 as defined by the Ugandan constitution and with particular disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism, spina bifida, hydrocephalus, delayed speech among others.
Organisational management and collaborations
Imagination Children’s Learning Centre is led by the Executive Director, currently taking overall leadership and responsible for strategic decisions and policy influence. On an ongoing basis, the organisation has an established Projects Management committee headed by the Projects Manager. ICLC further works in close collaboration with a number of government and non-government institutions, private bodies and professionals including Mulago National Referral hospital (Orthopaedic Technology department), Uganda Allied Health Professionals and Management Institute, and will continuously establish further relations within Uganda and abroad.
